-ginger
-star anise
-cinnamon
Tea content in a bag of ASSAM BLACK TEA (50g)
- real black tea from the Indian region of Assam.
CUP:
Handmade, made on a potter's wheel, glazed. Stoneware fired by electricity at a temperature of 1250 °C.
Inspired by Indian cups called kulhad... Which are traditional Indian unglazed cups fired at a low temperature. These "kulhad" cups are disposable. They are then thrown away. In my form, the cup is really only inspired, not only by the style of kulhad, but also by the typical shape of the glass in which this drink is also drunk in India. I encountered this glass on my travels mainly in the city of Delhi.

How it came about:
I spent a little over a year of my life in India and traveled practically the entire country. On my travels, I encountered amazing folklore around tea. At every station, on every train, on every street in India, there is a chaiwalla, a tea master, who for a few pennies will prepare a delicious refreshing drink consisting of black tea, spices, sugar, water, milk... In India, this entire mixture is simply called chai (tea).
Most often, tea is prepared not from many types of spices, but from one type. During my stay, I encountered only cardamom, and in the winter, ginger was added to it. I had chai with star anise only once in the city of Mathura, which is known as the birthplace of Krishna. I also encountered cinnamon once, but I don't remember where it was.
Anyway, that's why I'm writing this story, our homemade recipe only contains the spices I encountered on my travels around India
We came up with such a delicious chai that we decided to share with you.
Our chai is perfect for lounging around, but I believe it will help someone remember their travels around India, and help others dream about what traveling around India could be like. Anywa
